Sixth consecutive UQ alumnus appointed Governor of Queensland

The University of Queensland has congratulated Chief Justice Paul de Jersey AC following the announcement he will be the 26th Governor of Queensland - the sixth consecutive UQ graduate to be appointed to the position.

UQ Chancellor Mr John Story and Vice-Chancellor and President Professor Peter Høj AC said they looked forward to working with the Chief Justice to continue promoting Queensland’s interests.

“UQ is very proud to be associated with Chief Justice de Jersey, whose distinguished service in his professional and voluntary roles has long been an inspiration to UQ students and graduates,” Professor Høj said.
