UQ community goes for gold in Glasgow

The University of Queensland will be a force to be reckoned with at the 2014 Commonwealth Games in Glasgow, with 16 past and present students competing for gold, and a staff member umpiring in the hockey.

The students and alumni will represent Australia in swimming, gymnastics, diving, athletics, triathlon and men’s rugby 7s over 11 days of competition from 23 July to 3 August.

UQ alumnus, and track and field athlete Caitlin Sargent, who graduated with a Bachelor of Physiotherapy in 2013, will be competing at her first commonwealth games.
