2 August 2019

Game of Thrones production designer, Deborah Riley, has received yet another set design award nomination at the Emmy Awards. Riley is no stranger to the Emmys, winning four production design or art direction gongs for Game of Thrones since joining the fantasy series in 2014.

It’s been a dream come true for the UQ graduate (Bachelor of Design Studies ’93), who has worked as the production designer on the hit HBO series Game of Thrones since 2013.

Riley has also worked on Australian films such as The Matrix, Moulin Rouge! And Jindabyne before joining Game of Thrones and creating some of the most extravagant sets in TV history.
