This event is the perfect opportunity to learn how a UQ postgraduate program in writing, editing and publishing can set you on a new and exciting career path. Dr Richard Newsome and our outstanding UQ alumni provide a great example of what exciting opportunities await in the industry.

Dr Richard Newsome is a lecturer at UQ’s School of Communication and Arts, and teaches postgraduate Writing, Editing and Publishing programs. Richard has worked as a journalist in print media, TV, and radio, as a corporate strategist in the United States, in an Australian media firm, and is now a published author of children’s books. His series’ Billionaire and Stella the Unstoppable have now made him a bestselling author. His expertise across traditional and new media is highly valued and demonstrates the value of a postgraduate qualification such as UQ’s Writing, Editing and Publishing programs.
