Opera By The Lake is presented by Duchesne College in conjunction with UQ’s Bloom Festival, the UQ School of Music, and Cre8ion, and is Directed by distinguished opera singer and UQ School of Music Adjunct Associate Lecturer, Tarita Botsman.
 
A star-studded line up of Duchesne College performers will provide pre-show entertainment from 5.30pm-6.30pm.
 
From 7.00pm, The 7 Sopranos will present a selection of popular classical operatic arias and ensembles, along with classic songs, musical theatre and arrangements of contemporary pieces. Eminent local opera singer, baritone and Head of Voice at UQ's School of Music Shaun Brown will also make a special appearance.
 
Proceeds from this event will go towards supporting deserving Duchesne College and UQ School of Music students.
 
BYO picnic rugs and chairs. A limited number of seats are available to be reserved for guests with mobility requirements when tickets are purchased.
 
Food and drinks will be available for purchase from a number of food trucks - details are coming soon. Parking is available on the UQ Campus.
