The School of Mathematics and Physics would like to invite Anne Street’s friends and colleagues to  “Celebrate the Life and Achievements of Anne Penfold Street”. Sadly Anne passed away on the 28th of December 2016.

Anne was an active member of the academic community until recent years. She joined the University of Queensland as a lecturer in 1967 and was appointed to a personal chair in Mathematics in 1985. She was also a recipient of an inaugural Australian Senior Research Fellowship (ARC Award) in 1991.

This celebration will begin at 2.30pm on the 17th of February, and will be held in the UQ Art Museum foyer.

If you plan to attend, it would be appreciated if you could email Diane Donovan at dmd@maths.uq.edu.au and if you would like to say a few words or recall your fond memories of Anne then please let us know.
