The Queensland Brain Institute (QBI) was established in 2003 and is home to more than 490 staff and 42 laboratory leaders. QBI researchers are dedicated to studying the incredible machine that is the brain and have made important advances in fundamental neuroscience and in areas such as Alzheimer's disease, schizophrenia, neurodegenerative disorders, visual perception and navigation, and deep brain stimulation.

QBI hosts tours for members of the public to engage people and help them learn more about the brain and neurological disorders. During our tours, visitors meet and speak to current researchers, walk through our labs and see examples of experiments our researchers are working on.
