Speakers

Andrew Courtney (Master of Commerce '12)
Principal Advisor and Director of Plenitude Wealth

Andrew Courtney graduated from UQ with Honours in Biomedical Science. Andrew decided he did not want to rent from other people forever and set about teaching himself how to manage the money from his graduate job. He then found himself teaching his friends and colleagues. This was the start of a new passion and career direction, leading to the completion of a Master of Commerce, majoring in Applied Finance at The University of Queensland. Now a Director of Plenitude Wealth, a financial planning practice based in Brisbane, Andrew will share the fundamentals of making the most from what you earn.

Plenitude Wealth is a holistic wealth management firm that is dedicated to making a positive change to the financial landscape of Australia and ultimately the world through creating an educational foundation of social awareness, enterprise and social consciousness. Our aim is to create a movement that will aid in the fight against limiting beliefs & absolute & relative poverty by utilising existing financial instruments everyday families can use.

Nathan Watt (Master of Business Administration '12)
Managing Director of Watson & Watt

Nathan is the Managing Director of Watson & Watt a start-up business advisory and accounting business, that helps small businesses, grow their business and reduce their tax. Having spent his late teens and early 20's as a pastry chef, Nathan developed a fascination for financial markets and the fiscal freedom and independence they could provide. On a path that was not going to provide the life he wanted, Nathan hung up his apron and moved back home to study accounting and banking finance at QUT. Nathan became a Chartered Accountant in 2009 and went on to complete an MBA at The University of Queensland in 2012. As an advocate for men’s health, Nathan is passionate about personal development and continual improvement and strongly believes in backing your abilities, and taking risks to build the life you dream of.
