You are invited to join us for a UQ Alumni Brunch at the Sunshine Coast with special guest speaker Professor Ian Frazer AC FRS, immunologist, Scotsman, amateur cosmologist and national living treasure.

Professor Frazer pioneered the development of the cervical cancer vaccine, known as Gardasil, which has had over 270 million doses administered worldwide. He was the founding Chief Executive Officer and Director of Research for the Translational Research Institute (TRI), before stepping into the role of Chair of the TRI Foundation Board to enable him to focus on his research. Professor Frazer has won many prestigious awards including the 2006 Australian of the Year and the Prime Minister's Prize for Science in 2008.

Professor Frazer and Mrs Caroline Frazer (Master of Educational Studies 1997) are Co-Chairs of The University of Queensland's Not If, When - Campaign to Create Change, leading an advisory group of volunteers to achieve transformational impact in Queensland, Australia and across the globe.

Join us to hear Professor Frazer share his personal stories, life challenges and career highlights, over brunch and an opportunity to meet and mingle with fellow graduates.
