The University of Queensland invites you to attend Making Progress in Stroke at UQ - From Laboratory to Bedside and Beyond breakfast event to raise awareness about Stroke Week.

More than 50,000 Australians experience stroke each year, being the nation's third biggest killer. Worldwide, stroke is the second leading cause of death and the third leading cause of disability. UQ researchers are committed to driving discovery to reduce the impact of this disease, globally.

This event will bring together researchers and clinicians from four different areas at UQ; Queensland Brain Institute (QBI), Institute of Molecular Bioscience (IMB), Faculty of Medicine and Faculty of Health and Behavioural Sciences (HaBS) who will discuss how their respective research is set to improve the lives of those affected by stroke, and how they are working together as part of a holistic approach to stroke research at UQ.
