Creating change together: why universities matter

Join us for a special opportunity to hear from The University of Queensland's Chancellor on the evolving and necessary role of universities in today's rapidly-developing, global and technology-driven society. The Chancellor's perspective builds upon his career in public service and diplomacy including senior positions in foreign affairs, trade policy and intelligence. His previous appointments include Secretary of the Department of Foreign Affairs and Trade, High Commissioner to India, High Commissioner to Malaysia, Director-General of the Office of National Assessments, and Senior Advisor (International) to the Prime Minister of Australia.

You will also learn about the Not if, when campaign which benefits our global community and represents the University's most comprehensive philanthropic campaign in our 109-year history. It aims to create change in our society through life-changing research, transformative student scholarships, and cutting-edge teaching initiatives.

We look forward to welcoming you at this inspiring and informative event.

Together, our greatest days lie ahead.
