Dr Robert McLeay

Robert McLeay is the founder and Chief Technology Officer of DoseMe Pty Ltd, a Brisbane-based company.

DoseMe supports clinicians in providing precise, personalised dosing. None of us are average - and our medications shouldn't be dosed that way either. In his role at DoseMe, Robert leads the product team, translating research into clinical practice – with the goal of providing access to the current best-practice dosing via easy-to-use software aimed at clinicians rather than researchers.

Originally trained in software development, Robert has had a range of roles leading software development teams to successfully deliver IT projects in the telecommunications sector. Robert then returned to The University of Queensland to complete a PhD in Bioinformatics, using computational techniques to model and understand genetic and biological data. He has worked in areas including researching the genetic causes of glioblastoma multiforme, and in understanding the genetic causes of schizophrenia.

Robert holds a Bachelor of Information Technology, Bachelor of Science (Hons), and a PhD (Bioinformatics) from The University of Queensland. He has held research appointments at The University of Queensland and the Queensland University of Technology. He also sits as an alumni member of Emmanuel College Council.
