"Alumni Friends and the Book Fair Team are “…people devoted to the University, determined to stay connected to it and keeping it connected to the wider community, dedicated to the concept of giving back, and of finding practical ways to contribute to the University’s growth and well-being…”
The Honourable Dr Penelope Wensley AC
Patron, Alumni Friends

The Library collection would not be what it is today without the hard work of many individuals and organisations, especially the members and volunteers of Alumni Friends. We are so grateful for the contributions they have made, and continue to make, to improving the lives of our students and crating opportunities for them. Thank you, Alumni Friends, for the countless volunteer hours you spend running the association, in being part of our community, and in collecting and sorting books so they can find a new home and enrich the lives and the education of more people.
Bob Gerrity, UQ Librarian 2012 - 2018
