In partnership with Business Chamber Queensland, we deliver Executive Education Masterclasses to businesses across the state. These sessions provide practical, actionable skills that help organisations grow, innovate and attract talent to regional communities. Keep an eye out for events in your region.

Inspiring Australia Queensland
Inspiring Australia Queensland delivers hands-on experiments, engaging talks and interactive STEM (Science, Technology, Engineering, Mathematics) activities to regional, rural and remote communities. We partner with the organisation on Regional Roadshow events to ensure that no one misses out on access to STEM opportunities.

Partnering with our local councils and councillors 

Our St Lucia campus stands in the Walter Taylor Ward of Brisbane City Council, and our Gatton Campus forms part of the Lockyer Valley Regional Council area. Our local councillors are valued partners in our shared mission to improve access to UQ campuses for the local community. They work with us to raise awareness of the many benefits, special events and facilities available for community use.

Through our work with councils, including initiatives like volunteering and student placements, we aim to create vibrant, thriving communities – on and off campus. 

Walter Taylor Ward Community Service Award

With Councillor Penny Wolff of the Walter Taylor Ward, we recognise and celebrate volunteering by our students with the annual Walter Taylor Ward Community Service Award. 

2025 winner: Claire Asquith
Throughout 2025, Clare volunteered at 7 organisations, raised over $40,000 for charities and mobilised over 300 students to support fundraising and volunteering work in the local community.
