UQ accepts donations of books, artworks and artefacts for its libraries, collections and UQ Alumni Book Fair. These gifts help students, researchers and the wider community access valuable resources.

Donate to the UQ Alumni Book Fair

We welcome donations of books of all types, magazines, vinyl records, posters, DVDs and CDs.

Where to donate (donations paused until Monday 10 January)

St Lucia donation point: open 24 hours

The Book Shed, located in the car park behind Building 82E, Seddon West, St Lucia campus.

Long Pocket donation point: open during business hours

The Book Bunker at UQ’s Long Pocket Campus, 80 Meiers Rd, Indooroopilly (adjacent to the Banksia loading bay)

Donate to the Fryer Library

 The Library acquires cultural heritage materials of enduring value for its special collections. Your support will also help to preserve these items and make them accessible, offering the potential for new research opportunities to enrich the intellectual and cultural life of our community.

Donate cultural gifts

Giving a cultural gift to the University's collections will make it accessible for research and public enjoyment. Donated books, artefacts and artworks are cared for and managed according to the highest international museum standards.
