Through Indigenous-led initiatives, research, education and scholarship programs, UQ is determined to provide opportunities for Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander students to become game-changers and future leaders. We now have over 1000 Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander alumni doing extraordinary work in our communities and around the world. 

UQ is committed to celebrating Indigenous cultures, and aspires to make Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander knowledges an integral component of our mission to create change.

A university education can be a powerful game-changer for Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander students with impact extending to whole families, communities and the nation. 

With donor support more Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander students have the opportunity to access a university education, determining their own exciting destinies as innovators and leaders.

Indigenous student, David Corporal, received a scholarship and now has a 25-year plan to reach the stars. 



David said the opportunities he was afforded by his scholarship have been irreplaceable.
