Professor Jeffrey Dunn AO is a pioneer of community-based cancer control and world-renowned leader in cancer control, psycho-oncology and patient-centred care.
Professor Dunn is currently Chair of Cancer Survivorship, University of Southern Queensland; Chief of Mission and Head of Research at the Prostate Cancer Foundation of Australia; and Deputy Chair, West Moreton Hospital and Health Service Board. He has served as Secretary of the International Psycho-oncology Society, President of the Asia Pacific Organisation for Cancer Prevention and most recently as President of the Union for International Cancer Control from 2022 to 2024, spotlighting Australia on the world stage of global cancer control.
Stanford University lists Professor Dunn among the top 2% of scientists globally. He was named an Officer of the Order of Australia (AO) in 2014 for his service to medical administration and cancer control. In 2025, he was honoured as a Queensland Great for his contributions as a world cancer leader, researcher and advocate.
