UQ Telephone Engagement Campaign

Each year, a group of current UQ students hold thousands of conversations with our UQ community to learn and celebrate their major milestones and hear stories of their connection to the university. A phone call from students is our personal way of staying in touch, and we look forward to connecting with you soon!

When are you calling?

This year’s Telephone Engagement Campaign will run from February to November. Our student callers (meet the Crew here) make calls Monday to Saturday during afternoon and evening hours. Please let one of the Crew members know if you would prefer to have a call at a specific time of day.

Are my personal details safeguarded?

Absolutely! UQ students taking part in the UQ Telephone Engagement Campaign are employed on behalf of the University to conduct calls to alumni and friends of UQ. There are strict policies in place for participating students to comply with as a student caller to ensure your personal details are safeguarded and remains confidential at all times. 
 
We would like to advise that phone calls conducted under the operation of the UQ Telephone Engagement Campaign will be recorded for training and quality purposes to better enhance your experience while connecting with Advancement and Community Engagement staff members. The collection of your personal information is in accordance with Information Privacy Act 2009, Principle 2 and the retention and disposal of call recordings is in accordance with Public Records Act 2002.
 
To disable your call from being recorded, please advise the Advancement and Community Engagement staff member at the start of your call. 
 
The UQ Telephone Engagement Campaign aims to reconnect with you and the wider UQ community, to share information about offerings and benefits available to you; ensure we have the most up to date contact information; learn about your UQ experience; celebrate your journey; and share about ways you can get involved with UQ to support the causes which align with your passions and interests.
