Join us for a delightful lunch at Husk Farm Distillery, founded by UQ alum Paul Messenger (Doctor of Philosophy ’97). Enjoy a fascinating talk from UQ Food Chemistry expert Dr Marlize Bekker, who will share insights into the chemistry behind the floral, fruity, and herbaceous notes of artisanal rums.
After lunch, embark on an exclusive tour to discover Husk’s unique farm-to-bottle process and their sustainable, full-circle distilling practices. The day will conclude with a tasting of Husk’s exquisite spirits, offering a perfect blend of education and indulgence.
Note time is adjusted for AEDT - actual time for the event in NSW is 12:30–2:30PM
