In 2025, UQ’s Integrated Pathology Learning Centre (IPLC) is commemorating 100 years of its significant collection.

Based at UQ Herston, the museum cares for and displays over 5,000 potted pathology specimens. Over the last century, these specimens have played a vital role in medical education, preserving rare diseases and showcasing the evolution of pathological processes.

Today, the specimens contribute to a broader conversation surrounding health and disease and are displayed alongside medical history objects on loan from the Marks-Hirschfeld Museum of Medical History.

To commemorate this milestone, we invite you to explore our museum and historical exhibitions, where you’ll uncover fascinating insights into health, disease and medical advancements.

Before booking, please note that this tour includes medical specimens that could cause discomfort for some guests.
