Age-Ed Carers' Cafe
Age-Ed is a new support network for care partners for older persons at the University of Queensland, which is run by UQ Law academics with lived experience of aged care or research expertise on ageing. One of Age-Ed’s key priorities is to build a supportive community for those who care for older adults – whether at home, in residential care, or through community services.
Join us for our very first Carers’ Café, a relaxed morning tea designed to bring care partners for older persons from the UQ community together. This is a safe, welcoming space to connect with others who understand the challenges and rewards of being a care partner for an older person.
Whether you are supporting someone living with dementia, navigating complex aged care systems, looking to share your story, or simply looking to connect with other like-minded peers, you are warmly welcome to join us at our first Carers’ Café.
Tea, coffee and morning tea will be provided. Registration is essential.
