Professor Strickland was awarded the 2018 Nobel Prize in Physics for her ground-breaking work in chirped pulse amplification. This is a rare opportunity to hear from one of the world’s leading physicists and laser pioneers.

Currently a professor at the University of Waterloo, Professor Strickland has made significant contributions to ultrafast laser science. Her Nobel-winning research, conducted during her PhD, revolutionised high-intensity laser applications. She continues to lead innovation in nonlinear optics and laser development.

The Quantum Year National Tour is bringing quantum science and educational activities directly to communities around Australia, including Melbourne, Canberra, and Sydney. Visit the website for dates near you and to find out more.
