Beyond the Game: Psychology and Nutrition with UQ Experts

As a proud sponsor of the Queensland Firebirds, The University of Queensland is bringing a series of free events to Ipswich Netball Association this August, culminating in an exclusive evening with the Queensland Firebirds. Designed primarily for student netballers, these events will help participants build the skills, knowledge and confidence to perform at their best – both on and off the court. Parents, guardians and coaches are also welcome to attend.

UQ student ambassadors will also be at all 3 events to chat about university life, study options and career pathways and answer any questions about studying at UQ.

Fuel your performance
Discover how good nutrition can support your training, recovery and game-day performance, with practical advice you can put into action straight away.
Designed for students, with parents, guardians and coaches also welcome.

Queensland Firebirds Community Event

Tuesday 25 August | 5:30–7:30pm
The series concludes with a special evening featuring the Queensland Firebirds.
5:30–6:00pm – Welcome and presentation from UQ and the Queensland Firebirds
From 6:30pm – Queensland Firebirds on-court clinic for student netballers
6:00–7:30pm – UQ Nutrition Expert session for parents and guardians, running concurrently with the clinic
While students learn from elite Queensland Firebirds players on court, parents and guardians will gain practical, evidence-based nutrition advice to help support their young athlete's health and performance.
