Join UQ's Medical Society for The 67th E.S. Meyers Memorial Lecture, with keynote speaker; Dr Jana Pittman.

Jana Pittman's remarkable story is one of perseverance. Being the first woman to represent Australia in both the Summer (2000 and 2004) and Winter (2014) Olympics in athletics and bobsleigh respectively, Jana transitioned off the track to complete a Bachelor of Medicine and Surgery. She is now a registrar in Obstetrics and Gynaecology, but despite her career success, Jana says her greatest achievement is being a mum to her 6 children, following the birth of twins in 2022.

This free annual lecture is held as a special tribute to the life of one of UQ Medicine's founding members and first Patron of the UQMS, Professor Errol Solomon Meyers, bringing together members of the medical, university and general community.
