Join the Queensland Brain Institute (QBI) Founder, Emeritus Professor Perry Bartlett and Dr Daniel Blackmore tour of the QBI. Recognised internationally for its cutting-edge work, QBI was founded with a clear mission: to unlock the mysteries of the brain and tackle some of the most complex neurological disorders affecting society.
Visitors will have the chance to gain insights into QBI’s research, explore how neuroscientists study the brain and learn about the latest innovations shaping the future of brain health.
Dr Mary Mahoney AO Amphitheatre and Advanced Engineering Building tour
Join architects from KIRK Studio and Hassell Studio together with a PhD Candidate from the School of Civil Engineering for a tour of the revitalised Dr Mary Mahoney AO Amphitheatre and the Advanced Engineering Building (AEB).
The amphitheatre is a vibrant community hub centred on a renewed lake system that supports water health and local biodiversity. Nearby, the striking soundshell blends engineering precision with natural elegance.
The tour culminates at the Advanced Engineering Building, a global exemplar of sustainable design. Inside, world‑class labs and research spaces highlight how engineering innovation can shape both education and environmental stewardship.
