UQ Giving Day

About UQ Giving Day 

Giving Day is a 24-hour online fundraising challenge where we call on our UQ community to donate to a cause they are passionate about and help us to create impact in the lives of many. UQ Giving Day takes place in October each year. In 2025, more than 2,080 donors came together to support 48 important causes across the University, raising $1.75 million.

The Queensland Commitment Fund
Your gift will support opportunities for students to fulfil their potential at UQ, such as needs-based scholarships, critical pathway programs and accommodation support for students experiencing hardship.
Telephone campaign
Each year from February to November, a group of current UQ students make thousands of calls to our UQ community to learn and celebrate their major milestones and hear stories of their connection to the University.
UQ Giving Day Ambassadors
UQ Giving Day ambassadors play a vital role in our global fundraising efforts through spreading awareness, mobilising support and encouraging others to participate in UQ Giving Day. Together, we can support and welcome the next generation of ChangeMakers.
