Join Friends of Antiquity

Founded in 1988, as a special interest group of Alumni Friends, Friends of Antiquity has made a significant contribution to UQ Classics and Ancient History - establishing two endowed Betty Fletcher scholarships (the first awarded from 1992), supporting the RD Milns Antiquities Museum and promoting the creation of a Chair and Lectureship at the School. Friends of Antiquity is a highly-social group, with Sunday Series lectures and an Annual Ancient History Day—raising money to support the Classics & Antiquities Fund (disbursements from the Fund are then made with the approval of the volunteer-led FoA Committee).

Friends of Antiquity celebrated thirty years of supporting the study of Classics and Ancient History at UQ with a donation which enabled the RD Milns Antiquities Museum to add a valuable Mycenean terracotta Jar (c1450-1350BC) to the museum collection.

Join us. New members are always welcome. Membership is through an annual tax-deductible donation to the Classics & Antiquities Fund.
