Can you beat an international chess grandmaster?

UQ School of Economics lecturer Dr David Smerdon is an international chess grandmaster and has represented Australia at seven chess Olympiads. In his last Olympiad, he drew his game against the reigning World Champion, Magnus Carlsen.

He now faces his latest challenge, as four UQ Chess Club members – Volter Entoma, Myah McGinity, William Hazell and Susan Li – attempt to take him down while grilling him on the secret to his success.
