Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander Economics Postgraduate Support

Your support will enable postgraduate Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander students enrolled in the School of Economics to purchase technology and travel back to country.

How you can make a lasting difference

With a $140,000 endowment, UQ can offer two scholarships each year to eligible postgraduate students studying any of our Masters programs, such as the Master of Economics and Public Policy; Master of Health Economics; Master of Applied Econometrics; Master of International Economics and Finance; Master of Economics; and Master of Advanced Economics. Gifts help cover the costs of technology and travel back to country over the course of a two year Masters (or combined Graduated Certificate and Masters) program. Successful students will receive $4,000 in their first year of study, and $2,000 in their second year.

Your gift is invested in perpetuity – with the current endowment distribution of 4.5% per annum to fund student scholarships forever. Donations may be pledged over a five-year period, and are fully tax-deductible.
