Mechanical Engineering Research Endowment Fund

For over 100 years UQ Mechanical Engineering has played an important role in solving problems for local and international communities and our industry partners. This success is largely due to our people and their world-standard research which is improving the world we live in.

To ensure that we continue to attract the best students and staff and attention from industry, we have developed the UQ Mechanical Engineering Research Endowment Fund.

Kick-started by Professor DNP Murthy and Mrs JP Murthy, this Fund will continue to be used to encourage and support research excellence within Mechanical Engineering at UQ.

Annual grants from the Fund support the travel expenses of world-leading research scholars to spend time at UQ to engage with our research students and staff.

This provides the opportunity for our people to interact with and learn from the best and brightest in research globally.

The collective support of our alumni and friends is critical to powering us towards achieving these ambitions.
