Alumni Friends Society

The Alumni Friends Society is named in recognition of the generosity of Australia’s first alumni network and its members.

Since 1967, Alumni Friends has donated the equivalent of more than $10 million to support UQ students, researchers and educators. The volunteer-run UQ Alumni Book Fair®, and member donations, have established numerous endowed scholarships and prizes, and supported UQ-wide initiatives. 

Connect with us. New members are always welcome. Benefits include discounted library access, and regular events and communication. Membership is through donation, with disbursements from the Alumni Friends Fund made with the approval of the volunteer-led Board.
