Janita Zhang

Janita is the Group Marketing & Technology Manager for Risk 2 Solution Group. She completed her Bachelor's degree in International Hotel and Tourism Management with a dual major in Event Management and Hospitality Management from The University of Queensland (UQ) in 2016.

During her time at UQ, Janita was a Student Relations Leader and actively contributed to the direct initiatives of the Student Success and Strategies Office. She aimed to increase students’ sense of belonging and engagement with the university and their education.

As the Group Marketing & Technology Manager for Risk 2 Solution Group, Janita is at the forefront of digital transformation and automation. Her role involves identifying digital opportunities and system/process improvements with a strong focus on enhancing the brand's design and marketing initiatives. Janita is responsible for delivering attractive and engaging digital solutions and oversees the delivery of digital design communications across 11 entities.

Prior to joining Risk 2 Solution, Janita worked for the American Chamber of Commerce (AmCham) in Australia where she was instrumental in building the profile and presence of the brand as their National Digital Communications Design Lead and Queensland Event Manager.

Janita is also passionate about providing students with professional and practical development opportunities. She launched AmCham Queensland’s internship programme in January 2017, and has since mentored 50+ students to date. Her work with interns has led to her being invited to speak on panels relating to international impact, employability, and resume building. In recognition of her professional achievements, Janita was also invited as a Guest Speaker for the December 2019 Graduation Ceremony for Business, Economics, and Law at UQ.

In her free time, Janita loves to dance latin ballroom and explore new restaurants and bars. She has a passion for dance and loves to meet new people and experience different cultures.
