Benjamin Milbourne

Celebrity chef, Masterchef finalist, entrepreneur and community leader Ben Milbourne has turned his passion for cooking into successful media career, teaching millions of people worldwide about the joys of food.

With a Bachelor of Applied Science (Human Movement Studies) from the University of Queensland, Milbourne’s initial career aspirations lay in teaching secondary school science, health and physical education, spending three years teaching in Queensland before joining the Australian Football League to manage their schools program.

In 2004 Milbourne cooked his way to the finals of season four of hit TV programme Masterchef and from there launched a divergent career turning his newfound national profile into a successful media career as an sought-after commentator and presenter and author and founder of his own multi-project company, Food by Ben as well as his own television cooking show Ben’s Menu which is now in its third season.

Milbourne also enjoys a significant social media following and regularly travels Australia and the world as a culinary ambassador and charity spokesperson.
