Shubham Chawre

Shubham is a Principal Planning and Business Intelligence Analyst at the UQ Poche Centre for Indigenous Health, where he turns data into impactful insights and occasionally makes spreadsheets look exciting (yes, it's possible). Previously, he worked as a Senior Research Assistant at UQ, tackling web development projects with a mix of precision and creativity.

Shubham graduated from UQ in December 2023 with a Master of Data Science and holds a Bachelor of Engineering in Information Technology. He also has a Post Graduate Diploma in Yoga, which helps him stay calm when code doesn't compile. Recognised for his leadership, Shubham received the UQ Employability Award and UQ Future Leader Award and served as a UQ Respect Ambassador, promoting inclusivity across campus.

Outside of work, Shubham was an organiser for GDG Brisbane and the GDSC Lead at UQ, where he built a thriving tech community and mentored budding developers.

Now a UQ Young Alumni Board member as part of the Young Professionals portfolio, Shubham brings technical expertise, creative problem-solving, and a sense of humor. When he's not working, you'll find him hiking, experimenting with projects, or practicing yoga because balance is everything.
