Tim Andrews

Tim works at UQ in the International Development team, coordinating knowledge transfer activities that see UQ expertise solved development challenges across Africa, Asia and the Pacific. He is also a member of the Queensland Advisory Board and Chair of the Queensland Youth Advisory Committee within the Australia Red Cross.

Tim has a broad experience leading, working and volunteering with youth development programs, and is now engaged professionally in the international development sector. He is the Chair of the Queensland Youth Advisory Committee within the Australian Red Cross (ARC), advocating for youth issues and advising on youth engagement to the governance structure of one of Australia’s largest humanitarian organisations. In his work with UQ International Development, he coordinates training programs and advisory services led by UQ academics that aim to address development challenges across Africa, Asia and the Pacific. Previously, he has been an Assistant Facilitator with the National Student Leadership Forum, the Co-Chair of the UQ Young Scholars Program, a Team Leader with Edmund Rice Camps Brisbane, and assisted asylum seekers arriving on Lesvos, Greece with Lighthouse Relief as a first responder.
