Dr Paul Eliadis AM

Dr Paul Eliadis AM is a leading clinical haematologist and oncologist with over 35 years’ experience in the field, focusing on malignant disorders and stem cell transplants.

In 1988, Dr Eliadis co-founded The Wesley Clinic for Haematology and Oncology, now known as Icon Cancer Care, which has become the largest and most progressive provider of haematological and oncological day services in Australia. He has also demonstrated a dedicated commitment to clinical research, and continues to be involved in medical research projects and trials associated with malignant disease.

Dr Eliadis works between Brisbane and Cairns, as a senior medical practitioner at Icon Cancer Care Wesley and as a visiting medical officer at an outreach clinic at Cairns Private Hospital. He also holds numerous memberships and affiliations with various associations within the medical field, including as a fellow of the Royal Australasian College of Physicians (FRACP) and a fellow of the Royal College of Pathologists Australasia (FRCPA) in clinical haematology.

Outside the medical profession, Dr Eliadis is a notable patron of the Arts and Classics through several philanthropic ventures. He is a benefactor of UQ’s endowed Chair of Classics and Ancient History, patron of the Queensland Art Gallery, and a member of the of the Commissioner’s Committee for the Venice Biennale. He has also donated large collections of artwork to various public institutions in Queensland.

Within the education sector, Dr Eliadis serves as a Senior Lecturer of Medicine at UQ, adjunct professor in Medicine at Bond University, and a Board Member of UQ’s Not If, When – the Campaign to Create Change.
