Ms Charlotte McMillan

Founder, Storychest Limited, London

Charlotte is an experienced lawyer, manager and leader with over 20 years’ experience in senior legal and business affairs roles within law firms and corporates. She is also an entrepreneur and runs her own business, Storychest, a private digital scrapbook for families, following her passion to create a safe place for people to keep and pass on their memories.

Charlotte is currently working as a senior legal consultant to TikTok, the fast growing user generated content app. Charlotte’s career as a lawyer includes as partner of leading law firm SJ Berwin (merged with King & Wood Mallesons), as Assistant General Counsel and Acting Director of Competition and Regulatory Affairs at Virgin Media and as Interim Head of Legal (Corporate and Commercial) at Channel Four. Charlotte’s areas of expertise include copyright, media law, broadcasting, film and television production, film financing, content regulation and data protection and privacy.

Charlotte has a number of voluntary roles in the education sector. She is a foundation governor of St Joan of Arc primary school in Highbury, London. She is also the Chair of the University of Queensland’s Business, Economics and Law Alumni Council in London.

Charlotte lives in London with her husband and three school aged sons. Her hobbies include art, theatre, cooking and gardening.
