Dr John Maunder

“After being a patient myself, I feel that I’ve been set up with some of the skills to better engage with sick people and sitting down and connecting with patients is something that I really enjoy.”

Dr John Maunder is a qualified Mechanical Engineer and Medical Doctor.

In 2012, Dr Maunder graduated from UQ with a Bachelor of Engineering. On his graduation day, he found out he had cancer. Dr Maunder was diagnosed with a form of Hodgkin’s lymphoma, a rare form of blood cancer; one that can be treated but not cured.
