Thanks to our generous donors, the University’s Greatest Need fund supports a wide variety of initiatives including:

• the Young Achievers Program where deserving students who face additional barriers to accessing education, such as distance and financial disadvantage, receive much-needed career, personal, mentoring, and financial support.
   
• a mid-career fellowship at UQ’s Queensland Brain Institute that will contribute to further advances in the prevention and treatment of disorders of brain function, such as dementia, schizophrenia, and motor neurone disease.
   
• scholarships to support students participating in the UQ Idea Hub — Startup Adventure — a program that offers international innovation and entrepreneurship focused internships to some of UQ’s highest performing students.
