FAQs for Back to UQ 2023

How should I travel to the St Lucia campus for Back to UQ?

Back to UQ will take place on Open Day, the busiest day of the year on campus, to give you the chance to enjoy the exciting buzz of this major event. Due to the volume of people attending campus, parking will be limited, and traffic is to be expected. We recommend that you travel by public transport if possible, or by taxi, rideshare, or pre-arranged drop-off if available to you. The best drop-off location will be Chancellor's Place.

What parking will be available?

Information on parking locations at St Lucia campus can be found on the UQ Parking and Transport website. If you need to drive, we suggest you contact some classmates attending the event to see if you can arrange a carpool.

Can I bring children or other guests to Back to UQ activities?

Yes! You’re welcome to bring kids or other guests to Back to UQ activities, but they must each be registered as your guest(s) for the activities they will be attending. All attendees, including kids, must be registered for activities so that we can adhere to venue capacity guidelines.

Some activities are only appropriate for attendees aged over 16. If you have any questions about whether an activity is appropriate for your child, please contact the team

While visiting St Lucia campus with young family, we recommend a visit to the Recreation Precinct Playground.

We encourage you to organise a group of your classmates to meet up at Patina at Alumni Court for our breakfast event or for a coffee on us.

How will I know if any of my classmates are attending?

What do I do if any of the tours or talks I want to attend are booked out?  Can I join a waitlist?

You can join the waitlist for booked-out activities via the online booking form.

What is the dress code for the day?
